A A AI just wanted to say congrats on taking the best step possible toward quitting tobacco – getting a support system.
First things first – if you have not registered yet, please do so. You will not be able to see or post in our members area until you do.
How does this work exactly? Good question, by giving a daily promise. In this section of the website (the forums) you will find people who check in every day to offer support to others and to post their own daily promise that they will not dip tobacco for today. It is a very simple process that has worked time and time again for many quitters. People who show up every day and become part of the community have a very good track record of successful quitting. We all want you to succeed and we have all started with a day one in the past.
In the forum section right now we have 3 places to post your daily promise. This promise is posted on what we call Roll Call. The main 2 places are the pre and post Hall of Fame (HOF) rooms. The Hall of Fame is what you enter after hitting 100 days dip free, pre-HOF is anything under 100. I know it seems like a long way off but it may get here sooner than you think, but for now let’s just focus on posting your current quit day. Day 1 is the day you spit out your last dip.
Oh yeah, the third room is our old timers room. We have some people in there with thousands of days quit. Go say hi to them, just remember to stay off their grass!
Posting roll is simple – you find the last post with roll call, highlight that post, paste it into your own text box, add your name and days quit and submit. Boom! You did it. Your word means something here and we believe you when you post that number. We are all here to help you, please reach out if you are having a tough time. Private messaging is available and we now have real time chat enabled. Use your tools that are available.
One last thing – I am personally glad that you found your way here. Addiction to tobacco sucks – you pay a lot of money to slowly kill yourself each day. This step you are taking to take better care of yourself is something you will never regret. See you on the boards!
